
Zamorano University is a regional leader in agricultural and environmental education. As a private, international, non-profit US university based in Honduras, it offers a high-quality, holistic education supported by relevant applied research and large scale outreach. Its current enrollment is 1,100 undergraduate students from 18 Latin American countries. Zamorano University promotes development, adaptation and wide uses of renewable energy systems in support of agriculture, food industry, agribusiness, environmental stewardship and rural development. Through its Renewable Energy Center, it focuses on: a) Biofuels, b) Alternative energy sources and c) Policy analysis.
